OMG! how can Edward be so perfect…for the first time i was brave enough to tell my husband that i am in love with another guy besides him..he seemed to mind it at first but then when he realized that his “competition” is only in a book, then he just let me get away from it..from then on, everytime i tell him i love Edward, he would just shake his head in disbelief and indifference..

Ok, it all started when i was watching Ellen Degeneres’s show,(which is a sort of a habit now for me..) she guested Stephenie Meyer, the author of the book Twilight..i wasnt paying attention that time, i was on my 9th month of pregnancy so i easily get distracted..but when steph started talking about her book, i became fascinated..ive always been a fan of epic love stories, you know..the romeo-juliet, jack-rose type..love stories with heaps of twists and struggles in between.  So, it didnt take me long to become interested with her book.

Few weeks after that, i gave birth..

Feeding.  Changing Nappies.  Playing.  Lack of Sleep..

Book forgotten.

And then, 1 day, i happen to go the mall to have my nails done.  I happen to walk past a bookstore,,and Then! right in front of me is the book “twilight”..i went and bought the book right away.  I Enjoyed the 1st few pages, and then it didnt take long till i become so obssessed about it.  Steph described Edward as every woman’s fantasy, like a dream come true, the perfect guy kind of thing..He is so sweet, and he just know how to dazzle women, as bella would describe it..the book was perfect, it was the perfect love story..how could it be not? Vampire and human, obsessed with each other, but fate doesnt want them to be..so beatiful, so mind blowing and so intense..

After 2 days i finished the entire book.  I cant comprehend how i stayed up till 6 in the morning, both my husband and my son slept with the lights on, while i was there reading the book, laughing and crying..and some giggle, and more giggles..and daydreaming..feeding thomas in between..aaahhh, life..

Few days after that, the Twilight movie was out..i saw the trailer and i dont know if they gave Edward and bella justice..they were not as intensen as i expected them to be..Trust me, if youve read the book, you would know what i mean.  I was torn whether to watch the movie or to retain the image of my Edward and Bella and their love story in my head.  I was afraid that i’ll get disappointed with the movie and it will forever ruin their story..in my mind at least..

But then, i did watch the movie..and IT WAS HIDEOUS!! Up to this point, i cannot believe those people who made the movie didnt give justice to the book at all!!! Not only that they changed a lot of details..i can give you a few..Bella on the prom was so suppose to wear purple dress from Alice..Carlisle didnt say “yes” when LAurent, the black vampire asked him if they could have another game of baseball..instead he said they just finished and about to go..it wasnt in the cafeteria, when Edward asked bella about her theories..it was at the restaurant when they had dinner..Esme and the family wasnt cooking when Bella visited the first time..oh, i cold go on and on.  The other thing that i was furious about too is that they didnt show lots of my favorite parts on the book..i know they cant feature it all, but those parts were essential! They didnt portray how Bella and Edward are in love and crazy about each other..in fact, they are obsessed with each other on the book..in the movie, they look so reserved and distant and most of the time, they looked like theyre just plain..ACTING! it doenst look realistic at all..i dont think they have chemistry together on screen..and it frustrated me a lot..it kinda ruin my beautiful image in my mind in the end..but it was too late..i watched the bloody movie..

I wrote Steph with regards to my concern ( as if were close)..i found her email in her website and so i decided to give it a go..only to realize that they had changed director for the “New Moon” movie..i was so relieved..(i think its the director blood on me, i guess!) chos! but i wrote her anyway telling her my views on the movie, and giving some of my advices..haha!

 

Well, i just finished the New Moon this morning, after 4 days..i couldve finished it earlier but Thomas got a fever due to his immunization for couple of days, so i had to stop with the reading for a while..

I found the New Moon book  a bit boring at first..Edward wasnt around for 7 months, the Cullens had to go away…the way Steph described Bella’s pain was insurmountable..i felt it through my bones, i was crying when she was crying..it was so intense..she was so empty, and it was so sad reading the book..she was like a living dead for 5 months.  She doesnt want to hear anything about the cullens most especially Edward..she wouldnt even say his name..but in the end, Jacob kinda saved her from loneliness..at one point, she believed she is in love with the kid..but obviously she wasnt..she felt the great connection and comfort, but that was just it..it has always been Edward, and it will always be..then jacob became a werewolf, and then Bella’s into extreme sports, coz thats the only time that she would hear Edwards voice in her head stopping her from what she was doing.  One day, she decided tto do cliff diving, which she did despite of Edwards warnings..in her head..and Alice saw that, she immediately flew to Forks and checked on her..of course shes alived..she almost drowned though..remember, shes trouble magnet! Alice thought she was going to kill herself..and she did a mistake of telling rosalie about her predictions..so when Edward rang the cullens to check on them, Rosalie blurted out that Alice saw that Bella killed herself!! damn you rosalie! and so Edward rang Bella’s place.  That time Jacob was at Bella’s house, and they were about to kiss when the phone rang.  Jacob answered the damned phone, Edward pretended to be Carlisle, asked him where Charlie is..Jacob said, hes not here, he’s in the funeral!! of course, it worsened the situation even more..Charlie was at Harry’s funeral, who died of heart attack..Edward thought it was Bella’s funeral..so off he went to Italy to go the Volturi..remember on twilight, you dont want to mess up with the volturi’s unless you want to die..and Edward wants to kill himself, because theres no point of living without Bella..he told Bella before that he wouldnt live without her.  He wanted to create a scene there, so they would kill him, (volturi’s very protective of their area!)..

Alice saw what Edward was planning so off they went to Italy, she thinks Bella is the only chance to stop Edward of killing himself, that if he knows that Bella is nto dead then he would stop doing what hes about to do.

To make it short, They made it there on time..Bella jumped into Edward when he was about to expose himself in the sun.(remember, he glistens when hes in the sun)..Edward thought hes already dead coz hes seeing Bella

But before they could enjoy their reunion, they had to fave Aro’s verdict, hes the leader in Volturi..blah, blah, blah..long story here..they eventually were allowed to go home, with conditions..that they will check again on Bella soon, and see if they kept their promise on making her as one of them..

Then everything went back to normal…blah, blah, blah..

Guess what? Edward proposed to Bella in the end..

 

I think that covers it..i will get my hands on “Eclipse” tomorrow and start reading it..will tell you spoilers when i finish..ciao! xoxo
